Heady nonsense

I'm here in LA. Wow! I can't believe I'm going to be living here. Here, I believe, people are very concerned with appearance and "the surface". But, perhaps that is what life is about. I mean we put on the surface of ourselves what we want and what we need to show. In an interview with Werner Herzog, he says that Los Angeles is the town with the most substance in the United States, period! Since dreams are organized and invented here, you have to get around the trends and go for the substance. Apparently there is a lot of substance here.

However, It's hard for me to get around the superficial. But, that's what it is superficial and unimportant. Yes there are people here who want to be famous, rich, beautiful and stars. What's important is the few who dare to dream and step outside that box and really look around and begin to create art. I think, that is what I will be looking for here in the land of fallen angels.
