Moonday

I'm in this group for goal oriented people. It's just a small group of people with a similar goal and we catch up through email with encouragements, daily goals, plan of attacks and the like. Our goal is to lose a certain amount of weight by March.

My goal is to drop twenty pounds. So far, the changes I've made are to eat a little healthier and to exercise more. I miss being mobile and flexible. So I joined a gym. However, the gym is near work and I'm off for a week. So today I went hiking.

Today is such a brisk sunny day. The wind is blowing and the trees are swaying. I saw hawks and soaring turkey-vultures. Just so loverly.... ah. There was also a cute boy I ran in to. He was listening to his iPod, though. We made some pretty good eye contact, so I thought, is this going to be another "wild" adventure?

I got home and Auntie Pam was here with her hound dogs. Brother is pictured left. He's more of the out going type. He'll say hi, by jumping on you, while trying to lick your face. But, he uses too much teeth. Franky, the other dog, well ... he's the silent type.

I was summonsed for jury duty today. Can you believe it? And so I called last night thinking, they'll never call me in for service. But the automated clerk said to call back between eleven and twelve, Monday morning. I was so nervous about possibly having to go to jury duty on my week off, I got poor sleep.

But, it turns out, no, I do not have to serve. Yay! There is a Jesus, and he loves me.

Happy Christmas.
