Kickin' it Ol' School!

I just got back from hanging out with my friend, my buddy, my sage-like confidant Adam. Every time we are together he always seems to understand and "get it". I don't know maybe it's because he's a man and I'm a man. He's a gay, I'm a gay. We're about the same age, and we pretty much grew-up together. That probably has a lot to do with why he can really dole out some good advice sometimes. He knows what's right for me.

When he got here, to my house, we went for a walk. We took our old route to our old Elementary school. We reminisced about those times talking about Kristina, Anthony, Tiffany, Lena, Horace, Matt, Kelly, Bathsheba, Veronica, Chris, Robbie, Mrs. Frye, Mr. Hough, Miss. Burgundy, Mrs. Griener ... and so on. We got to the playground and instantly a million memories came flooding back. Adam was remembering the time he got trampled on the field by some football players, while we were playing a game we called "cat and mouse", so queer. I remembered where almost every tree was, and now sadly cut down and paved over. When we were little we used to play "Dark Crystal", "Star Wars", leaving out the kissing parts, and "Toilet Monster", which was a variation on the "Lava Monster" Which was just a form of "Grass Tag".

We also took a walk to our Jr. High. That was trippy too. We talked about day dreams we use to have then. And, how I would never go visit Adam during shop class when I had lunch. I use to cut during lunch because I was the weird quiet kid nobody noticed. He didn't know I used to collect found objects, like a little vile of blue liquid I found one day. He goes, "I could never figure you out!"

"I was a fucked up kid."

"You used to tell me, 'You understand me, you get me.' I just stared at you in bewilderment."

"I guess I was pretty secretive."

"Sometimes I still don't understand you...."

"Word." Is all I could think of to say. But, I did tell him whatever he wanted to know, I would tell him. He didn't ask though.

Afterwards, we just drove around. We ended up at Barnes and Noble and I got a Fake Book. Now I'm home listening to the house creak and moan. I love my Laptop!
