Today was a beautifully awesome day. I woke up and started to do my daily ritual. Up, down touch the ground, and all that. And it was seemed that it was going to be a busy fast paced day. Then I remembered that today was election day. And it was time to vote. So, I got my sweats on and tennies' and hoody, grabbed my license, and I was out the door. I voted. It felt good. Like I was doing my part for the world. It was as if, that this is what its all about.
I went for a walk right after. It was really sunny inland but at the bay the fog still clung to the shore. As walked on to the trail head the fog bank was right there. I walked right in to it. The weather air was calm and heavy with moisture. The water was calm and the sun shone through and created this white diffused light. I could only make out a faint dark lines. I saw blue herons and sandpipers and little finches searching for food in the grass. The little gopher like rodents scampered around and as I reached the wooden bridge where I usually stop and ponder at, I felt cocooned in this white light. My hair was wet and the air was gentle. I could make out ducks in the little inlet and hide among the reeds. It was magic.
This is a picture of the bridge close to sunset looking south. One day, I should really bring my camera.
